Why is it called tulo?

tulo means “sleep” in Chichewa. It also means “income” in Finnish. So you get a good night’s tulo without blowing your hard-earned tulo.
What makes tulo unique?

Unboxing should take less than it would take to read this FAQ. We do recommend letting your tulo sit for an hour before use.

How do you fit that bed in a box?

Science. We use a proprietary process by which we compress and fold your tulo. This allows it to be easily shipped without damage. When your tulo is pulled out of the box, air rushes back into the foam, which causes the expanding process you see once you break the airtight seal.

Does my tulo need to be flipped?

Burgers need to be flipped from time to time; tulo doesn’t. You can rotate it from head to toe all you want, though.
Does my tulo have a break in period?

Your tulo’s break in period depends on your body. It may feel amazing on your first night or it may take a few nights to become accustomed to the feel of the mattress. This is why tulo comes with a 120-night trial to make sure that it’s perfect for you.
Can I get a replacement tulo cover?

Is the foam in my tulo mattress CertiPUR-US® certified?
All foam used to create your tulo mattress has been tested to meet CertiPUR-US® rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability. Specifically, the foam is:
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

Pillow

How often should I change my pillow?

For optimal results we suggest changing your pillows every 12-18 months. However, if your sleep habits or body changes you may wish to change your pillow.
What are the pillows made of?

High density foam infused with titanium and AquaCool™ phase-change material.
Can I return or exchange my tulo pillow?

Given the personal nature of the product, once the pillow is opened we are unable to accept returns.
Will my tulo pillow fit in my pillow case?

Our pillows are 16"L x 26"W x 5"H, which fits Standard size pillowcases.
Is the foam in my pillow CertiPUR-US® certified?

Yes, every tulo pillow utilizes foams tested and certified by CertiPUR-US® to meet the highest standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability.
Can I wash my tulo pillow?

If your tulo pillow becomes soiled, simply spot clean with mild soap and water, and air dry. No washing machine or dry cleaning required!
How will my tulo be delivered to me?

Your tulo pillow will be shipped separately via FedEx and will not be delivered with your mattress.

How do I return my tulo mattress?

If you bought your tulo less than 120 nights ago, the question you should be asking is “How do I let tulo return my tulo?” Because all you have to do is choose a date and time window for us to come pick it up, and be home when we do it.

You don’t have to move your tulo off your bed frame, put it back in the box, or stop watching your show. Just open the door for us and enjoy your full refund.

Will it cost me anything to return my tulo mattress?

It will cost you $0 to return your tulo. Please note that a refund normally takes 7-10 business days to reflect on your card.

How will my tulo mattress get delivered to me?
Simply choose your delivery day and time window, and make sure you’re home to open the door. We’ll take care of the rest. Your free delivery also includes:

- Free removal of your old mattress set
- All-around-awesome, professionally trained tulo personnel
- Red carpet and sanitary blue booties to protect your home

Can I delay the delivery?

How long does it take for my tulo mattress to be delivered?

Barring any unforeseen shipping hiccups, your tulo will arrive at your door in 3-5 days.
Do I have to be home to sign for my tulo?

Since we set up your tulo and even help you get rid of your old mattress at no charge, our delivery team will need access to wherever your tulo is delivered.
Will tulo remove my old mattress?

Ask and you shall receive. We’re happy to remove your old mattress from your home after we set up your new tulo as part of the Red Carpet Delivery Service. *Red Carpet Delivery not available in all areas.
What are the dimensions of the box that my tulo is shipped in?

The box dimensions are 19” x 19” x 42” for all mattress sizes.
